What is your favorite store to shop at?

I want to buy tons of stuff from Shabby Apple, but that is fairly new for me. I like J. Crew too, but don't do tons of shopping.

If you could afford anything and everything, which designer brand would you covet? Most of Michael Kors runway fashions are stunning and have an ease about them, a comfortableness. I would wear dresses like that all the time if I could. (But like I said before, I would trade my entire wardrobe for the clothing Givenchy put on Audrey Hepburn).

Must have closet staple?  I love lace shawls and shawlettes from Fall to Spring and on a Summer evening. They make a simple top really stand out and can give a little warmth without covering your entire outfit with a cardigan.

Favorite kind of shoes? (brand or type) For comfort, Keens. For pretty dresses, round toed pumps with a 2-1/2 to 3 inch beautifully sculptured heel.

Best clothing deal you've ever gotten? (sale or amazing find) I found the most perfect, well-fitting bra, in my odd size for less than $20. Not the cheapest thing I've ever gotten, but the deal that has made me the happiest in the long term.

Style you'd love to try?

I'd love to get some of those airy printed scarves and wear those.

What is your all-time favorite song? I can't choose just one. It depends on my mood. Fake Plastic Trees by Radiohead, Black by Pearl Jam, Norwegian Wood by the Beatles (actually all of the album Rubber Soul), A Living Prayer by Alison Krauss and Union Station (she has the most lovely voice ever), Fields of Gold by Sting

What is your favorite singer/band? Another one that is really hard to decide. I guess if I could only listen to one band for the rest of my life, it would have to be The Beatles. They have a huge catalog of music and they experimented with different sounds.
What is your theme song/song that best describes your life? Geez, the hardest question ever! Maybe Turn the World Around, seen below, because I'm an earth girl and always try to focus on our interconnectedness, feeling sure that the world would be so much better if we all saw those connections.
What songs put you in a good mood? The Luckiest by Ben Folds, Never Forget You by the Noisettes, Island in the Sun by Weezer, Turn the World Around by Harry Belafonte (and my daughter loves to sing and dance around to this one with me, especially when we listen to the version with the Muppets).

What is your favorite roadtrip music? Weezer, old 80's Madonna, anything we can sing along with.
What song are you embarrassed to admit you love? Mable by Goldfinger. It just brings me back to those carefree college and post college years when my friends and I would decide in a moment that we were taking a road trip.

Now, I think I'm going to listen to some music; first on the list is Turn the World Around, since my daughter just saw the video clip on the computer and insisted that we need to watch it now. That was a difficult list to answer, but fun to think about.

Favorite movie of all time? Cinema Paradiso. It is an Italian film that I consider love story about a little boy, his mentor, and the movies. The little boy is adorable too. I have friends who refuse to watch subtitled movies (men who only watch action flicks), that got so engrossed in this movie that they didn't even realize they were reading after a couple of minutes. Just DON'T EVER watch the director's cut of the movie, only the theatrical release; theatrical release was just a better story.
Favorite movie quote? "Badgers!? We don't need no stinkin' badgers!" -UHF
Best movie to watch for a girls night in? When Harry met Sally
Best breakup movie? French Kiss (yes, another Meg Ryan movie. There were some great ones. French Kiss also has awesome quotes: "My ass is twitching. You people make my ass twitch.").
Favorite celeb eye candy?

Hugh Jackman. No contest.

Which movie star's closet would you want to raid? First, I need a time machine and then a drastic change to my figure, . . . But without a doubt it would be Audrey Hepburn. When Hubert de Givenchy first met Audrey Hepburn, he was surprised because he was expecting another Hepburn, Katherine. I think it worked out well for both Audrey and Mr. Givenchy that they teamed up.

1. How did you come up with your blog name? I like alliteration and the idea of my blog is to show off fun manicures and how well they withstand the wear and tear of an active lifestyle.

2. What is your favorite thing about blogging? I love sharing ideas, inspiring, and being inspired by the community of bloggers and blog readers.

3. What is one thing you have discovered because of blogging and now can't live without? I learned how to make a Zoya Remove type nail polish remover from here. I add a little lavender oil to the remover to make it a little less chemically smelling. It works great!

4. Facebook or Twitter? And Why? FB. I have a twitter account, but I have never really taken to it.

5. If one celebrity read your blog, who would you want it to be? Charlize Theron. She is perfection, always looks beautiful and glamorous. I would love it if my thoughts on beauty interested and inspired her.

6. What is something you want people to know about your blog? I really love your opinions. I want my blog posts to be more like conversations between us than lectures made by me.
