Facilier inspired Disney manicure

Let's face it, Doctor Facilier does not have many redeeming qualities, however he does wear a fabulous purple outfit in Disney's The Frog Princess. The different shades of purple, the top hat with the prominent purple feather, and his perfectly maintained moustache make his combo wonderful. However Doctor Facilier is only on the hunt for power. He wants to rule New Orleans and look fabulous doing it. Unlike Demona or Malificent, Facilier does not have any defensible reason for his evil doings

Strawberry Fields with Zoya Gilty

Hi all! Strawberries are sweet and I must keep this post short and sweet. I have been working insane hours this week, missing my family, so when I get home, I haven't been writing my blog posts. But here are several pictures and a couple of words about China Glaze Strawberry Fields.

Hi all. I've done a couple of skittlette manicures, but I've never shared a true skittles manicure on here. Today I remedy that. It has been very cold and grey around here and a colorful manicure was in order.

Polish Days: First True Saran Manicure

So much fun!!! I love Polish Days!!! And this is a technique that I have been dying to try out, but hadn't gotten around to yet. Yippee!!! Sorry about the excitement, but did I mention how much I love Polish Days? . . . Yup, I sure did; well it bears repeating. Thanks to Hannah for coordinating the fun! All right, I'm going to try to avoid using exclamation points for the rest of this post, because if one more appears, I don't think that anyone will take me seriously ever again.

Zoya Remove+ vs. Julep Remover vs. Homemade moisturizing remover

Hi everyone! Before I take you to this  post, I just want to say, this is my 100th post!! I can't believe it. Thank you  to everyone who takes the time to read this little blog. Thank you to any of you who share your thoughts, comments and suggestions with me and thank you to all of you for inspiring me! OK, on with the post.

I have always been intrigued by Zoya Remove+, and finally got some a couple of months ago. What you see above are the results of one swipe of each polish remover on index, middle, and ring fingers.

Nails for Newtown

I don't even have the words to express my sadness for all those touched by the tragic shootings in Connecticut. As the mother of a kindergartner, I feel overwhelmed and know that I would be lost right now. I really can't find the words to say much else right now.

I am praying for all these families, that they can find comfort with one another and that the sweet memories of their precious angels never fade. I also pray for an end to this kind of senseless violence.

In the aftermath of such violence, let us all to be an unexpected source of love and kindness in the world.

Love to all of you today.

Cult Nails Bitten with Stamping

Hello, ladies. Look at how delicious this nail polish is! Cult Nails Bitten, from the Behind Closed Doors collection is like a sparkling raspberry syrup poured all over my fingers. It looks slick and somewhat liquid on my nails. It is everything that I love about China Glaze Riveting, but dark reddish pink with fuchsia flickers instead of flame orange with gold flecks.

Bitten applied smooth and even in 2 easy coats. I love to decorate my manicures with stamping, but this polish looked beautiful without any adornment, so I decided to just add a small flower. Zoya Raven worked really well as a stamping polish.

I used Born Pretty Store plate m77 for the little daisies.

One word of warning: Bitten is a very frisky nail polish and while it is a beautiful color to wear on any occasion, just looking at it may make the wearer feel more bold than usual. It is very fun!

Here are a couple more views. Do you want to get Bitten too? What is your favorite shade from the Cult Nails Behind Closed Doors collection?

Thanks for reading!
